The importance of a uniform

A uniform shows that the person wearing it knows what they are doing and also creates a positive and friendly image in the community.

Whilst in uniform, we are recognizable to the public and also, with the whole team looking the same it means that a non-team member cannot endanger us as they will be singled out.

Whilst in uniform, a cheerleader is given the reason to take pride in the way they look, and it also conveys and image of professionalism and symbolizes the cheerleader's commitment.

Whilst in uniform, the team members are given a sense of unity which helps them to work together as no one is singled out. When we are in uniform the team members pull together as a whole and perform to the best of their ability.

The WSA programme incorporates character building skills through:

Teamwork
Health and Fitness
Self Esteem
Discipline
Friendship
Respect

Always be punctual
Attend every training session
Always have a good warm up
Participate to the best of you ability
Take care of your appearance - always be neat
Always dress properly for practice
Hair must be tied back, and no hats must be worn during practice
For safety reasons YOU MUST NOT WEAR JEWELLERY
No sweets, gum or snacks when in uniform
No swearing - behave appropriately
Maintain a positive attitude at all times - SMILE!!
Treat each other with respect
Be kind to others - do not gossip
Say NO to smoking, drugs and alcohol
Talk to your coach if you have any problems
Love thy coach!!
And most importantly, ALWAYS HAVE FUN!!
