Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire are about how your charcter (boy or girl) tries to become the best trainer of all time, but he/she can't unless you can help them tackle lots of tough trainers.
Oh, and in Ruby you can only catch Groudon, but in Sapphire you can only catch Kyogre. If you want both you'll have to buy Pokemon Emerald. I also have a page on it.
